Hi there friends and fellow crafters. LeeANn here with a fun birthday card I made for my eldest daughter this year using this great stamp and die set from The Makers Movement. I had so much fun with it, and made it interactive as well just to add a little bit more fun.
First I die cut all the pieces for the Ice Cream Truck. For the window I cut silver Mirror Cardstock and then covered that with Vellum to dull the color a bit. All solid color cardstock came from Stamp Me Some Love, other than the Silver Mirror Cardstock. The Pattern Paper is from an Echo Park Paper Pad. Everything will be linked at the end of this post.On a panel of white cardstock I stamped the Panda image and colored it using my Ohuhu Markers. Once that was complete I put the truck together with the image in its spot and started working on the background. Using a stencil from Create & Inkspire I ink blended the grass and sky.
I cut a strip of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment and figured out how I was going to make the pull tab so that the sentiment could be pulled out. once that was done I assembled the card. Then I decided to work on the inside, somethinng I do not always do. For this I used cardstock from my stash and cut the donuts, icing, ice cream scoops and cone out. I layered them together and adhered to the inside of the card. I added some accents on the ice cream with a white gel pen. I did accents on the Donuts using the same gel pen and a glaze pen.
I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it. It was mailed a few weeks ago so the recipient has it now. Let me know, what is your favorite, Chocolate or Vanilla? hers was for sure Chocolate.
