Hi there friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here participating in Courtney's Friendship Hop.
I had so much fun creating this card.First I cut a panel of Kromekoat paper (can use photo paper) with a stitched rectangle die and went about using Tsukeniko's Kaleidacolor ink pad in Blues to brayer the background. I added a spritz of water after to add to the look.
I then used a smaller rectangle die from the same set and stamped the sentiment from a Dovecraft stamp using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne. Once I let that ink dry, I spritzed it with Imagine Shimmer sprays Sparkle Shimmer.
I added bakers twine to my panel and wrapped twice tying a knot on the left side.
I then attached my sentiment panel using foam squares, and added this panel to my card base also using foam tape.
I added 5 yellow stars to my panel with On Point Glue and my project was complete.
I hope you enjoy all the projects brought to you in this hop. And see projects that inspire you to make your own friendship card.

Love the card!
ReplyDeleteHave a question though-what do you mean by "brayer the background"? Guess I haven't come across that yet.
Thank you Gloria, I used a brayer roller to apply the ink to the background. For my card with the Video Hop I will use this technique :)
DeleteYa know I should have thought about it. Look forward to it!
DeleteThis is an awesome card, I love the blue color you used. Since you mentioned a brayer, did you use the brayer to pick up the ink off the ink pad to apply it to the paper, that's a huge time saver!!! You're a genius!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Maria and yes, I used the brayer to pick up and apply the ink. I will use this technique in the video hop next month.
DeleteGreat card LeeAnn! Love it
ReplyDeleteThank you Renee!!!
DeleteI love the blue background! Wonderful card!
ReplyDeleteThank you Anna!!!
DeleteLove the background! I forgot that you can use a brayer with ink - I’ve only done it with paints. Thanks for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteI love this technique, actually learned it 4 years ago at Stampfest and bring it back every few months.
DeleteSo pretty card, LeeAnn!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.

DeleteLovely card!!

Deletevery nice but maybe not the bakers twine piece
ReplyDeleteI don't usually use it, but to ME this worked. The person I am sending it to loves bakers twine for some reason, and I left a gap so she can pull it off for herself for her crafts.
DeleteHi Traci, me again! I see you are here on this blog spreading the not so nice again. I understand that you have a style. Everyone does. And this my friend, is Miss LeeAnn's style. You could have just skipped the negative. In fact, I don't understand why you are being so rude to the bloggers in this hop. Are you having a bad day? Very nice was a complete sentence and the rest was unnecessary. Normally I wouldn't call you out on your unchristian ways but here you are at a second blog for a second friend of mine being rude. Why? to make someone second guess sharing their love of being creative? that doesn't seem as christian as you portray yourself on your three blogs. Have a blessed day!
DeleteI'm sorry LeeAnn ... I just liked the pretty blue and green but didn't understand the twine added in ... I'm not a rude person just nrw & learning.
DeleteBeautiful Card !!! LeeAnn. You have used such a wonderful sentiment and an awesome background.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Rachel. I do appreciate it.
DeleteThank you Amanda.
ReplyDeleteHello LeaAnn. Your card is very lovely and I especially love the care you took with adding the gold stars. I am usually not patient enough to do that. ~Tracy Shultz (fellow hop collaborator)
