I was sitting and thinking about a lot of the cards I make that have dimension on them, and do not comfortably fit in an envelope without smooshing the elements.
So I was thinking about what I can do about it. I went through my dies and found a Ric Rac die from My Favorite Things. I cut a small strip from cardstock and using my Vagabond 2 I cut that die shape out.
Once I had the panel with the pattern taken out I used BGE to apply a thin layer over the entire front.
After letting the glue dry to tacky I used the hot pink holographic transfer foil and laid it down and smoothed it out over that panel.
Once I had the full panel covered and I was happy with it, I turned it over and applied a thin layer of BGE to the top portion of the panel only and attached it to the gift bag.
Using a Get Well Card that I made I am showing how the card will hang on the front of the bag.
This can also be used for portrait oriented cards. Take a look, perhaps you have a die in your stash that can be used for the same purpose. This can also be made using pattern paper, I would just be sure it is thick (80 lb minimum) so that it does not rip from the weight of the card.
Here is a close up look of the card I made using Bo Bunny Farmers Market paper and Lawn Fawn Get Well Soon Stamp set. The cardbase and layering panel are from Cardstock Warehouse.
I colored all my images using Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend Markers and stamped sentiments using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I adhered all my images and panels together using ScraPerfects Best Glue Ever, and cleaned my stamps using ScraPerfects Best Cleaner Ever and the Perfect Cleaning Cloth.
I also used Holographic Transfer Foil.
I hope you have enjoyed this project today, as much as I have enjoyed sharing it with you.
