Happy Birthday to ME, and my new toy the STAMPOHOLIC Nano
Welcome to the Abyss and hope you enjoy my project. Someone asked me this week what I was going to do for my birthday (Hi Sarah), well this is what I want to do while I am home. Play in my craft room and make more creations. SO, let me tell you about my toy. The Stampoholic Nano is manufactured by my friend Mansi in India. She is a really great person, and hey, don't you love the color? Let me just say this has helped me more than I thought it would. The price was right and in January I purchased it for myself, as an early birthday gift. SO, using the Stampendous stamp and die set I made this card for a great friend of mine, who's birthday happens to be next week. I will be spending part of the day with her today so will give it to her then. Now on with my project.
I didn't show what I did first but that was use the included dies to cut the puppy's body, head and a bone, with my big shot. I then put the Nano to work. First with the body part, I lined the cut out section with the side and bottom of the nano on the inside, then closed down the piece of acetate I have taped to the top. I positioned the stamp in the space and closed the lid to pick the stamp up. I was then able to drop the cut piece in the whole and was assured that the stamp would be in the right spot after inking up and closing down again.
I then did the same with the head and bone.
This is the three parts once stamped out. I then went to work with coloring. First I used Watercolor paper cut to 4.25 x 5.5 and used my distress inks to create the background. Green Clover and Cracked Pistachio were the colors of choice for the grassy area and The sky was created with Weathered Wood, Stormy Sky, Broken China and Chipped Sapphire. I used a baby wipe to blend well and moved on. While that dried I colored my little guy. Chase is the pup I got for my birthday 2 years ago so he is the one I usually end up coloring for my cards. Using my Spectrum Noir Marker True Black I added the black touches, and using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in Mustard I did the bone and Light Gray for Chases body. The fence line and grass is from Seaside Stamps. The ink for the sentiment and the dog/bone images is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and the grass was done with AMuse Studio's Grass color.
As the sentiment says, I feel STAMPOHOLIC Nano is the best ever, thank you so much Mansi for bringing this to us, and making it affordable.
- The Stampoholic NANO measures 7.25" X 6" with an inside stamping area of 4.75" X 6"
- The Stampoholic measures 8" x 10" with an inside stamping area of 6.25" x 8.5"
and soon to come is the Jumbo which will have approximate stamping area of 12" x 12"
Clicking on the link above will take you to my friend Kat's shop which is where my friend the Nano was purchased. Get one today and you to can have a new best stamping friend.
